Edwin Bohanan, age 89 of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Palace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 5, 1932 in Macon county to the late Vester and Clara (Deckard) Bohanan. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had retired from the State of Tennessee with almost 44 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Joyce Bohanan; and sister, Mabel Yarborough.
He is survived by his children; Ray Bohanan and his wife Annette of Hendersonville, Melissa Ann Martin and her husband Steve of Westmoreland, Teresa Lynn Shaw and her husband Charlie of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Heather Sturdivant, Brandon Chambers, Whitney Sargent, Ashlen Lauren May, Wyatt Bohanan, and Logan Alexia Coles; great-grandchildren, Georgia Quinn Sturdivant, Tristan Wade Chambers, Jaxson Sargent, Blakely Sargent, Brinlyn Raine Reece, Callen Glen Reece; sister, Janice Jones.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was loved by many people.
A private interment service will take place at a later date.
