Emma L. Mitchell

Emma L. Mitchell, age 89 of Gallatin, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Gallatin Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.  She was born in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Oliver T. and Ethel (Shoemake) Meadows.  Mrs. Mitchell owned several restaurants throughout her lifetime.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Mitchell; brother, Howard Meadows; sister, Marie Koger; and great granddaughter Reyna Wallace.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley K. Perry of Gallatin, and Barbara A. Rowe (Bill) of Cross Plains; six Grandchildren; fifteen Great-Grandchildren; and four Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. H.D. Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Gallatin City Cemetery with Billy Wallace, David Matthew Sudduth, Benjamin Gleespen, Bill Wallace, Hannah Wallace, and Darryl Douglas serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
