Helen Deering, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at White House Health Care.
Mrs. Deering had retired from Eaton Corporation after working for 22 years. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Eva Russell Burgett; husband of 56 years, Johnny Deering; and a brother, Pete Burgett.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Draper (Joe) of White House; grandchildren, Derrick Draper of White House, Julie Draper of White House; great-grandchildren, Jada Lockhart and Vernon Lockhart, both of White House, Caroline Draper of Madison, and Kaleb Draper of Hendersonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Nesbitt, and Bro. Jerry Russell Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery where Derrick Draper, Mike Smith, Cordis Russell Jr.,Tommy Hiett, Noel Rickman, and Robert Butler will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and resume on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Anderson Funeral Home, 202 East Main Street, Gallatin, Tennessee is in charge of the arrangements.
