Shirley Ann Byrn

Shirley Ann Byrn, age 81 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. A lifelong native of Sumner county, she was born to the late Joe C. Cowan and Amelia Graham Cowan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ashley Byrn; son, David Neal Key; grandchild, Andrea Key; brothers, Joe Wayne Cowan, and Billy Joe Cowan.

She is survived by her son Edgar “Eddie” Joe Key of Gallatin; grandchildren, Karlee Key of Portland; and Jessica Simmons (Vance) of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Tristan Harmon of Portland, and Alyssa Simmons of Houston, TX; sister, Cathy Johnson (Doug) of Gallatin.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Brian Jarrett officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Entombment will follow in the Sumner Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
